Our Facility
Hood Motorsports now occupies a new 6,800 square foot purpose built facility for all automotive operations. Situated on 5 acres in the Sierra Nevada foothills of Nevada City, California, the facility includes a dedicated six vehicle parking area, a separate automotive shop, a dedicated multimedia game room including satellite based high definition television and broadband internet services, large storage capabilities, and a combination office/meeting room with a full bathroom.
The Multimedia Game Room
Hood Motorsports The multimedia game room offers participants a chance to relax and includes a full library of automotive related periodicals and manuals, broadband internet service supporting online research activities as well as satellite delivered high definition television programming. A facility wide audio distribution system is also situated in this heated room.
Activities range from playing ping pong and honing reaction times on the christmas tree to head to head racing and gaming on the plasma displayed Sony Playstation.
The Heated Automotive Shop
Hood Motorsports The heated automotive shop includes a professional four-post Eagle lift with a 15,000 lb capacity and a 192 inch wheelbase. The shop includes a separate space that accomodates two project vehicles with an overhead electric chain hoist system. It is fully serviced with compressed air, 220v wiring, Miller welding equipment, and Dura steel cabinets throughout. The floors have been professionally sealed, ample lighting has been installed throghout the facility and oversized bay doors have been installed on the vehicle service side of the shop.
An enclosed mechanical room houses all utilities and air compressor as well as a blasting cabinet for metal parts refinishing.
Facility - Upstairs
Hood Motorsports The second floor fully air conditioned office space offers comfortable conferencing for up to 10 people and includes satellite provided high definition television programming with Dolby surround sound as well as broadband internet service. The entire facility is serviced with a wireless computer network from the office which includes a fireplace, a kitchenette, and a full bathroom.
The 550 square foot storage room on the second floor includes a second additional 1,000 lb capacity electric chain hoist system and a large bay door for full parts access.
